Essential functions:
- Manage the development of the company’s full line of software products.
- Plan and monitor the implementation of new software products or the maintenance of the existing product line.
- Review and validate problem reports, evaluate enhancement requests and determine appropriateness and priority of requests.
- Maximize the effectiveness of the development efforts in delivering products that meet the expectations for user satisfaction and marketability.
- Monitor and report the progress of open projects and provide high-level technical overviews to the senior staff.
- Manage the Software Development Process of each project to ensure timely completion of projects given quality, time and budgetary constraints.
- Enforce the currently established best practices for Software Development, in areas such as Source Code Control, Code Quality, Documentation and Testing. Seek for improvements to the best practices through the adoption of new procedures, techniques, methodologies and/or tools.
- Ensure that all elements of the software development and implementation process are in compliance with ISO requirements and standards.
- Promote internally a culture of
innovation supported on research. Convey product vision and
direction to internal staff.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
- At least 10 years of real-world software development experience
- At least five years of leadership experience in a software development arena with a
- Management title
- Knowledge of electrical engineering, such
as reading schematics, timing diagrams, and reading technical
documentation on electronic components

Through utilizing a technology that allows for the rapid evaluation of various naturally occurring compounds they are pioneering an entirely new industry to address a growing global demand for safe & effective urban & agricultural pesticide products. While our client has developed, tested, and proven the efficacy of several new products; they are in need of an experienced Formulation Development Manager to help them address several key formulation and application challenges.
This opportunity is ideal for someone with experience:
- Developing strategies for Insecticide
formulations
- With various types of formulations such
as emulsions, solutions, granules, powders, aerosols, creams,
dusts, baits, etc.
- Communicating with other scientists and
commercial vendors on product safety, regulations, marketing, and
legal matters
- Leading and managing development teams

As a key contributor to the organization you will be responsible for integrating a variety of technologies and must have the willingness and ability to wear multiple hats at once. You will be responsible for assembling a formulations strategy for the entire product development lifecycle.
Performance objectives for this career include:
- Develop formulation strategies for a wide range of agricultural pest control,
industrial, institutional, and OTC consumer insecticidal, fungicidal and bactericidal
products.
- Coordinate and communicate formulation concepts to internal research departments and external contract manufacturers.
- Evaluate patents and prepare non-infringement strategies
- Work effectively with external partners, resources and vendors to secure raw materials and formulation ingredients.
- Lead projects from the early exploratory phase of product development through production.
- Develop manufacturing requirements,
standards, specifications and product cost projections.
Basic Requirements:
- Experience or training in EPA and FDA
regulated industries
- Master’s (preferably Ph.D.) level training in organic, physical, or medicinal chemistry; or chemical engineering; or a 5+ year professional degree in Pharmacy (preferred concentration: Industrial Pharmacy); or an undergraduate degree in chemistry with at least 10 years of formulation development
- Experience in conventional and natural insecticide and fungicide chemistry
- Experience with traditional formulations such as emulsifiable concentrates, soluble
concentrates, granules, wettable powders, aerosols, creams, dusts, baits, and others is essential.
- Experience in leading efforts in a
start-up environment is a plus

Report on specific areas of non-conformance and recommend improvements. Prepare records and maintain files.
- Analyze department metrics in order to identify, track and review processes causing repetitive nonconforming material issues.
- Manage the vendor problem report system to ensure proper corrective actions are taken to resolve quality problems. Work directly with vendors in process and product improvement activities. Conduct new and existing vender quality surveys and assessments. Serve as member of the supplier evaluation team.
- Identify current or potential impacts of engineering changes. Communicate findings and recommend action to provide information and to influence the effectiveness.
- Assist Manufacturing, Engineering and Service staff on the resolution of quality problems on the floor. Analyze any range of engineering, production or service operations data to identify trends or out of scope conditions.
- Recommend solutions to engineering for manufacturing and assembly problems. Review technical drawings prior to release, for completeness and QC Layer inclusion. Participate in engineering discussions to continue recommendations for improvements in future designs and current production methods.
- Interview, select, recommend, hire,
train, and assign Quality Department Staff. Communicate metrics;
evaluate performance; counsel and coach employees. Maintain
harmonious employee/employer relations. Develop and implement
staffing plans and related budgets.
Other duties may include:
- Perform or assist with any departmental operations, as required or directed to maintain workflow and meet production schedules and requirements.
- Attend and participate in a variety of
meetings and task groups to integrate activities, communicate
issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain specific
level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements
and policies.

Our client currently seeks a Senior Analytical Chemist to join the R&D team to identify, design, and develop analytical methods and laboratory analysis of bio-organic compounds.
Within the role of Senior Analytical Chemist your will be responsible for:
- Developing experiments to determine variables affecting algae growth rates, lipid content, and other variables involved in algae to oil production
- Multi-variant experimental models
- Using your knowledge in biological extraction, purification, and staining to develop multi-variant experimental models
- Generate, analyze, and interpret test results
- Generate and present reports to scientists, engineers, and managers
- Find and supervise appropriate outside
vendors and contractors
Provide leadership to all lab personnel so that they deliver very rapid turnaround of analytical results to process development teams in multiple locations
Organize and supervise more junior
scientists Outstanding performance in this position
requires:
- Familiarity with algae and
microbiology
- Strong knowledge of chemical process
engineering and process flow design
- Proficiency in operating scientific

At the present time our client has a
significant need for an Algae Operations
Scientist in order to capitalize on the rapidly growing biofuel
market. The Operations Scientist will help Algae Growth Scientists
to set up and run algae growth and harvest experiments and
pilot-scale processes, in the lab as well as in field experimental
farms and pilot production farms.
Superior performance within this position
requires an individual who is highly self-motivated and capable of
working with little direction. Requires aquaculture experience,
biological and chemical laboratory proficiency, computer literacy,
strong quantitative analysis skills, good listening and writing and
speaking skills, and comfort working in both lab and farm
environments. Local travel is required.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate algae growth and
harvest experiments, including all necessary equipment (tanks,
pumps, plastic piping, sensors, centrifuges, etc.)
- Collect and analyze experimental
performance data, and create draft reports
- Operate general biological and chemical
laboratory equipment including analytical instrumentation (i.e.
GC, spectrophotometer, etc.)
- Employ sterile techniques for algal
culture operations
- Provide general assistance as needed to
the research and engineering staff
- Work in unstructured, relatively
unsupervised environment
- Local travel required
Education
BS in chemistry, biology, or environmental
science

require your ability to:
- Develop mathematical models and computer
simulations of potential end-user product errors used in the
design and development of new products
- Develop algorithms for length and angle
corrections due to temperature change or stress
- Develop procedures and software to

in new or established databases.
- Analyze results and develop new
compensation schemes that improve product accuracy and

- Identify and evaluate new technology,

Requirements
- MS in Applied Mathematics (PhD

- Experience with machines, 3D geometry and
modeling of 3D mechanical systems
- Experience with mathematics of least
squares optimization , linear algebra, vector and matrix math, and
modeling of properties of materials (CTE, bending) in a complex 3D
system
- Algorithms must be developed and coded in
our client's product (C++, C#, .NET), therefore, some software
development experience is necessary
- US CITIZENSHIP or

and machined parts and products.
This is an ideal job for a Mechanical Engineer
that will provide the intellectual and technical challenges of a
highly diverse manufacturing/engineering experience. As part of the
creative engineering team you will have a direct impact on the
creation of innovative, state-of-the-art metrology products.
A team of two MEs and
a mechanical designer will report directly to you, and you will
report directly to the Vice President of Research and
Development.
Outstanding performance in this position will
require your ability to:
- Create designs for injection molded parts
(not tools), stamped metal parts, die cast parts (not tools), and
precision machined parts
- Develop products for customer use,
utilizing effective style and usability
- Prepare CAD drawing and models of
designated product or fixture. Calculate and lay out dimensions,
angles, curvature of parts, materials to be used, and relationship
of various parts to entire structure
- Coordinate machining processes; determine
needs of machine shop to fulfill the production requirement and be
available to clarify design instructions.
- Lead a group of talented designers to
